So the job situation is becoming a bit frustrating. I almost had a position at Hu-Friedy, but I just found out today that they decided to go in another direction. If there are any openings with Kerr that you know about then let me know. I know I can suceed in this industry. I just need someone to take a chance.
I wanted to thank you personally for your post on my discussion. Believe me, I will definitely take advantage of manufacture relationships. I am going to need every piece of ammo at my disposal as a young and fresh rep, and you have definitely showed me the true benefits of using the manufacturer to my advantage. Just a few questions; When talking to other retail reps, I have heard that one of their concerns is not so much the time it takes to work with the manu rep, but the cost. When a retail rep meets with the manu rep, who is the one that foots the bill?
Also, I have another interview with Patterson on Wednesday. At my last interview I learned that my biggest obstacle is going to be that I have no b2b sales experience. I want to show Patterson that although I have no experience, I am doing everything I can to make myself as knowledgeable as possible about this industry. As proof, I was going to bring a copy of your response to the interview. I wanted to ask if that was ok with you.
Thanks so much for taking the time in helping me out. I look forward to working with Kerr Corporation in the near future!!
Hi Brian ! Being that you are a RM I would love to pick your brain a bit, I hope you don't mind ! Well really I only have a few questions. I am coming from 13+ years chairside & would like to transition into sales, I have submitted my resume to every mfc & dist. company I can think of as well as put all my reps from the practices I have worked with on high alert, being that I don't have a degree in business but invaluable & commiserate experience in the field how would you suggest I get around that obstacle ? I think my resume does a good job to play that down & while it's not B2B sales the majority of my experience has been in high end cosmetic practices, I sincerely consider what we do there on a daily basis sales ! $50K++ cosmetic cases for people who's teeth to the average joe looks just fine ! Not all that easy ! I would love for you to take a look at my resume and offer a strong critique if you don't mind ! I would love any feedback you could offer ! My resume is attached in this comment & also on the job ops page ! Thanks so much ! KT ~ Personality opens doors, character keeps them open~ KThompson sales resume.doc
