Well, let's see... It's July in Wisconsin, the mid-point of our disappointingly short summer season up here. My 16 year old son is enjoying a week in the Colorado wilderness outside Colorado Springs. My 15 year old daughter is finishing her 3rd week as volunteer staff at Lake Lundgren Bible Camp in the Wisconsin north woods. My parents are spending 8 days at their "home away from home", also in the north woods of Wisconsin. And my 18 year old son and I must have drawn the short straws, as we are left with the responsibility of moving our household to our new home across town while the rest of our family enjoys the things that summer is all about. Still, there are numerous bright spots to focus on.
First, I love our new house, so the whole moving thing isn't so bad. Living in the small, somewhat "red-neck" town that I do, young men with pickup trucks are not in short supply. My son's friends have been very willing helpers (for the most part)in getting large items across town.
Second, the AAWD awarded Career Extenders, Inc and the AnterioRest support the Best New Product for Women for 2008. Some of you may have already seen my earlier post of this event. It has been exciting to see the additional interest this recognition has generated.
Third, we are thrilled to be part of the launch of a new distribution company here in Wisconsin. Professional Health Equipment Distributors has hit the ground running with the AnterioRest product. Paul Cherrier is a new member of Dental Sales Pro and a sales representative for Professional Health. I know DSP will be a great resource for him,
since he is new to the dental industry. I know everyone that is a member is always willing to share and encourage us newbies.
So, as I trudge through the back-to-school aisles of the department stores, trying to push back the inevitable end to summer, I have to say that Summer 2008 has the earmarks of being one of those periods that I will be able to look back on and say "that was the beginning of..."
How are the "lazy days of summer" (yeah, right) going for everyone else out there?
